SERVING OUR
COMMUNITY
An established
legacy of care
“From the beginning, our founders & partners have believed that being part of our community is more than just running our business. It’s about investing back in our people, and doing what we can to make the place we call home a better place for everyone.”
The above is an excerpt from the speech that was given when the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre opened its doors in Bracebridge in October of 2024. We are honoured to be involved in a community building that will be a space where families, friends, and neighbours can gather together, celebrate, and grow for many years to come.
“Muskoka Lumber [is] committed to giving back to the community.
They show it, often quietly, but we know that support is there… every day.”
Hon. GRAYDON SMITH, MPP
Local initiatives,
big & small
When it comes to community contributions, many people will think of the Muskoka Lumber Arena, or donations given to Andy’s House / Hospice Muskoka over the years – but we are equally thrilled to support smaller local initiatives across the regions we serve, such as: community support centres, restoration and building endeavours, local school fundraising and education support, local committees, groups, or chapters (Rotaries, Shriners, Lion’s Club, Salvation Army), and more.
“It’s not just one program or one group of people that they’re helping…
…they’re helping the whole community.
PETER BRIESE, OWNER OF MUSKOKA BBQ
Our propensity
to pay it forward:
The ongoing health and growth of our business is important to us in many ways – however, we believe that the success is best enjoyed by sharing it with our communities.
When locals come to us for the products, materials, and supplies they need for their projects, our natural inclination is to give right back to the people who make these beautiful pockets of our region so special.
We are ever aware that we couldn’t touch the lives of our community members without our customers – and our gratitude to them is immeasurable.
“When I think about Muskoka Lumber, I think about community.
Muskoka Lumber has been there from the beginning for us, and many other organizations.”
SARAH THATCHER, DIRECTOR OF FOOD4KIDS MUSKOKA
